Launching of SEED x TOPCON Vision Hub
Date: 7th August 2025
Location: Bandar Puteri Puchong, Puchong, Selangor
The official launch of the SEED x TOPCON Vision Hub on 7th August 2025 marked a significant milestone in enriching vision care and advancing professional competency in Malaysia. This strategic collaboration between SEED Contact Lens Malaysia and TOPCON Healthcare SEA is established with a shared commitment to strengthen three key pillars: screening, academic development, and clinical training.
Designed as a one-stop training hub, the Vision Hub is dedicated to empowering eye care professionals through access to advanced diagnostic equipment, comprehensive specialty lens fitting education and a diverse range of contact lens options tailored to various patient needs. While the Vision Hub provides access to SEED’s full range of contact lenses, the primary focus is on professional training and clinical application, not product sales.
The launch event was officiated by Mr. Takashi Eto, CEO and President of TOPCON Corporation, and Mr. Takashi Saito, Executive Officer and Deputy General Manager of the International Business Division, SEED Co., Ltd. Their presence underscored the global significance of this partnership and its long-term vision for the region.
A key focus of this initiative is to drive myopia management efforts in Malaysia, powered by Topcon’s innovative MYAH device, a multi-functional solution for axial length monitoring and myopia management and the SL-D701 slit lamp, recognized for its exceptional optical clarity and imaging capabilities.
The event was attended by senior lecturers and representatives from both public and private universities, reflecting the strong academic support for this initiative. Guests were given a tour of the facility and an overview of what it can offers, which aim to integrate clinical excellence with ongoing education.
The Vision Hub is fully supported by an on-site SEED optometrist and technical representatives from Topcon, ensuring continuous professional support and hands-on experience for practitioners.
Together, SEED Contact Lens Malaysia and TOPCON Healthcare SEA are proud to champion innovation, professional development, and patient-centered care shaping the future of vision care in Malaysia.
