High Performance Silicone Hydrogel Material

Manufactured from SEED’s silicone hydrogel material, Aerofilcon, SEED 1day Silfa benefits from a low modulus which allows for excellent fitting characteristics and provides all day comfort.

Due to its relatively high water content of 68%, Silfa does not require special surface coatings, unlike many other silicone hydrogel materials, to improve wetting characteristics. Elevated water absorption, combined with marginal lipid adsorption allows for excellent natural wettability and lubricity, which make Silfa more wearable for those patients with drier eyes.

Prime Balance Technology

Prime balance technology

1. Contains a silicone component that allows oxygen to pass through well, and delivers plenty of oxygen necessary for healthy eyes.

2. The hydrogel component stores a large amount of water, making the lens soft. Seed pursues the best balance between the amount of oxygen that reaches the eyes and the amount of water that leads to a comfortable fit.

The amount of oxygen that comes to the cornea is almost the same as when it comes to the naked eyes.

Silfa’s oxygen flow rate *1 is about 96%*.

In other words, the amount of oxygen that reaches the cornea when wearing Silfa is almost the same as with the naked eye. Delivers plenty of oxygen necessary for healthy eyes *2 .

* 1 Percentage of the amount of oxygen reaching the cornea compared to that with the naked eye
* 2 Oxygen flow rate is approximately 96% with the naked eye A Model of Oxygen Flux: Measurement at the center based on Brennan 2001 (eyelids open) *For -3.00Di

The amount of water in the sense of life

Silfa’s water content * is 68%, the highest among silicone hydrogel lenses.

With a high water content design, which was difficult until now, the water content of the cornea is close to 78%, realizing a softness that blends well with the eyes.

Adjustable Parametric Design

DESIGNED TO FIT COMFORTABLY

Japanese high quality manufacturing assures exceptional surface attributes, also contributing to reduced issues with lipid adsorption. Additionally, the material demonstrates resistance to splits and tears which allows for a thinner profile and easier handling.
The relatively high Dk/L of 67 (-3.00D) also ensures all day healthy wear for patients who require higher powers.

Len Marking

LENS MARKS

To help users distinguish between the inside and outside faces, a lens marking can be found on every lens to ensure the easy handling and safe usage of SEED 1day Silfa.

32 Lenses in One box

TWO EXTRA LENSES IN EVERY BOX

SEED 1day Silfa has 32 pieces of lenses in one box. Even with the extra 2 pieces of lenses, SEED’s packaging is just as compact as other boxes containing 30 pieces of lenses.

User Friendly Design

USER-FRIENDLY DESIGN : CROSS-UNIT CASE

For ease of usage, SEED has introduced the following designs for the convenience of its patients. Our Cross Unit Cases allow capsules for the left and right lenses to be joined together for easier packaging.

FINGERTIP CLOSURE MECHANISM

The wearer can open the package easily and close it at the touch of a finger. This eliminates the need for hand contact and is a more hygienic way of handling the box.
